follow your internal compass

John F. Kennedy once said, "You are happiest when you are making your greatest contribution."
When you have a passion for what you do, creating abundance becomes effortless.

I was traveling around Thailand and started to feel restless as I wandered. I finally fell upon this island that needed my scuba diving skills to remove debri from the ocean and recover remains. They needed my field medic knowledge from the Army to help set-up a make-shift hospital and administer first aid to tourists and locals. They needed my crafting skills to turn discarded wood into new hospital signs for this small island that had been destroyed by a tsunami only six months earlier. I didn't recognize the value of my own skills and interests until I found a place where those skills and interests were needed.

I didn't intentionally seek this opportunity out or even have it defined. I just followed my internal compass and stopped when everything fell in line in one moment, one place. I felt like I was fulfilling my purpose and it felt amazing. I kept seeking more of that after my trip was over. It was the island of Phi Phi that put the P back in Purpose, Place and Passion for me.

Do you remember when your internal compass brought you to a place where everything aligned in one moment in time?
